Are Claps Without Reading An Insult To The Writer?

I believe it is. Not that you have to endure the torture of reading through a story that is by no means exciting to you so as to give claps.

Instead do not bother reading that, just ignore it, and if you care lookout for a story of the same writer which seems interesting to you and then consider reading it and give some claps as emotional support.
