Neurotic Pain

Nothing personal about neurosis

do not let your thoughts
think for the pain
that you are experiencing
instead
ask the pain
what it wants to think
(especially if there is a lot of thought energy anyway)
and that is enough
pain will find its space to rest
and natural responsiveness is restored
at least for the time being.

Let our pain teach us how to suffer it and not somebody’s getting-away-with-it technique
