quite automatically
we know it well
when caught up in neurotic hell
but contrary to the name
it won’t destruct the self-
that is torturing from within
it rather strengthens the self
no use fighting it either
just see it in context

notice and let risk its unfoldment;
you do not have to drink or take drugs
to do self-destruction
being locked in the head-
is good enough as self-destruction
